Rules

  1. Respect and consideration: Show respect and consideration towards instructors, staff, fellow dancers, and the dance studio space at all times.

  2. Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes, rehearsals, and events to ensure a smooth flow of activities. If you're running late, enter the studio door quietly and wait at the dance studio till you are invited in. Teachers have the right to deny students using the bathroom unless there is a medical condition involved. 

  3. Dress code: Adhere to the specified dress code and hair for each class or rehearsal to maintain a professional and unified appearance. Proper dance attire and footwear are essential for safety and optimal performance. If you are not in proper dress code attire you may be asked to leave class and not come back till the dress code is properly observed. 

  4. Hygiene and cleanliness: Maintain personal hygiene by coming to the studio clean and odor-free. Keep the studio space clean by tidying up after yourself, throwing away trash, and keeping personal belongings organized.

  5. Listening and following instructions: Pay attention to instructions given by instructors and follow them promptly and accurately. This helps ensure a safe and productive learning environment for everyone.

  6. Safety first: Prioritize your safety and the safety of others. Warm up properly before engaging in any physical activity, inform instructors about any injuries or limitations, and avoid risky behavior or moves that could harm yourself or others.

  7. Communication: Communicate openly and respectfully with instructors and staff regarding any concerns, questions, or feedback you may have. They are there to support your growth and development as a dancer.

  8. Positive attitude: Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards your fellow dancers. Encourage and uplift each other, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

  9. Studio property: Treat the studio space, equipment, and props with care and respect. Avoid damaging or mishandling any property belonging to the dance studio.

  10. Confidentiality: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other dancers and instructors. Do not share personal information or sensitive details without consent. Students should only handle property that belongs to them.

  11. Attendance and commitment: Attend classes regularly and be committed to your dance training. Consistency and dedication are key to progress and improvement. Advanced notice should be given at least 2 hours before class time if a student will not be attending classes. Durning recital choreography, if 3 classes are missed a make-up class is mandatory. Dress/ Tec rehearsals for all performances will be mandatory.

  12. Professionalism: Conduct yourself professionally both inside and outside the studio. Represent the dance studio positively and responsibly in any public or community events.

 

Remember, these rules are in place to create a safe, supportive, and productive dance environment for all participants. By following these guidelines, we can foster a positive dance community where everyone can thrive.
